Dzenita Hedzic, Store Manager Tübingen and Leonberg

You work as a store manager. What makes this job special for you?

I used to work at Saturn Stuttgart and then worked my way up through various positions to become a store manager. During this time, I have worked in many stores in Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. I've been the store manager at our store in Tübingen since 2016 and in Leonberg since 2022. I also manage the pop-up store that we opened in Tübingen city center in May 2024. I have a lot of responsibility, largely organize my day myself and work with people from very different areas. What I particularly enjoy is independently supporting employees in their professional development - from trainees to preparing new store managers.

What moment in your career has had a particular impact on you?

I can't choose just one situation. Many moments have shaped me, both professionally and privately. However, it's usually the people I meet that leave a lasting impression on me. I take a lot from them - for example, how they deal with challenging situations. Another thing that had a big impact on me was the time during the coronavirus pandemic and how we stuck together as a company here.

What advice would you give to people who want to join MMS?

Staying true to yourself and going your own way is the most important thing. At the same time, you always have to be open to new directions and options. It can also help to find a mentor who can advise you.
